First time eating here after visiting Bempton Cliffs!
Food was enjoyable,presented nicely! Staff very friendly,asked if we enjoyed our food which we all did .I chose the vegetarian falafel burger as pictured!

I never before have had a mixed grill without an egg! Not many veg with the salmon but it was nice.
At least you know what to expect so you are not really disappointed.

staff very pleasant . Firstly i had to take my drink back due to the cup having a huge chip on the side, and it was also cracked. Then when our food came out, it had to be sent back. I ordered well done steak and friend ordered medium. when the food arrived it looked like we had each other's steaks ( I also requested no hash brown bites so we could tell meals apart), so we swapped steak. Friend cut into hers and looked perfectly cooked. I then cut into my steak and it was completely raw inside. So I asked if I could have it cooked to my order ' well done' . 10 mins later my food arrived and had a new piece of steak but instead of cooking fresh eggs, I was given the origional eggs that came out first time and they were now way over cooked and hard ,aswell as dried out mushrooms. In the end I had to return the whole meal as the steak was also inedible due to how tough it was.
Waitress gave excuse that it was busy today. To be honest I said been busy shouldn't make a difference in how my food was prepared, cooked and served. we were both very disappointed and I was given a refund for my meal.

Love coming to The Friendly Forester, pet friendly area too. Staff are always polite n helpful. Food is ready within about 15 mins even when quite busy, don't wait long....
Atmosphere is always good, plenty of music n chit chat too.
Hoping to be back on Wednesday night ❤️

The food was good value for money- good selection of menu choices. Friendly staff and the serving of our meals was timely.
Areas for improvement are the apparent lack of bar staff. The pub was busy snd there were only 2 bar staff serving and it took over 20 minutes for my ride to get served at the bar. One part of the bar area was littered with unwashed glasses which were in full view as you entered the restaurant reception area which didn’t provide customers in my view with a good first impression. That aside the bar staff numbers need addressing as a matter of priority in my view.
On the whole our dining experience on 2/6/23 was a positive one despite my comments above thank you!

Warm welcome and seated promptly. Bit of a queue to order but food came out quickly. Everyone enjoyed their meals, good value and will be coming again soon

Our experience at Friendly Forester was brilliant.
The staff are so friendly and even though they were short staffed they did their upmost to keep us informed of any delays.
Sara and the team were professional and friendly at all times.
The food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering and was hot, well cooked and very tasty.
Fantastic value for money and definitely our go to pub restaurant in Bridlington

I reserved a table, three days earlier, when arrived. Someone on our table. They replied bar staff had told them to sit there.. We couldn't find a member of staff. So we dicided to just have a drink, & go to another pub.
